MB Marine Services was established in 2013 and has been servicing clients primarily at Royal Brighton Yacht Club (RBYC) and Sandringham Yacht Club as a registered contractor. MB Marine Services is owned and operated by Michael Bunyard a qualified and experienced shipwright, in one of Melbourne's well-known coastal suburbs of Brighton. You can find Michael located on the hardstand at Middle Brighton Pier of RBYC. If you are located elsewhere please contact Michael as mobile and out-of-water servicing is available in the bayside areas of Melbourne.
Exceptional quality and knowledge are Michael's specialty he understands the needs of his clients’ yachts, whether they are primarily used for leisure or offshore ocean racing and is able to ensure they are back on the water doing what they do best. Michael is not only a shipwright, he is a sailor who began as a child and this is where his love for yachts began. Michael will be taking part in his tenth Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in 2019, his depth of experience as a sailor ensures that he understands the complexities of yachting and is able to guide his clients in the right direction to ensure their yachts are prepared for offshore ocean racing, cruising or leisurely sailing.
Michael is skilled in yacht maintenance, repairs, modifications, custom rope work and splicing, mooring solutions, as well as yacht preparation for ocean racing and cruising. Michael is also able to provide advice relating to insurance claims and conditions reports.
